5.11 Tactical Kold Khukri Machete Doug Marcaida's 5.11 DM Fixed "Talon" Karambit, Black Coated D2 Blade 5.11 Tactical Wingman Patrol Bag
Kold Khukri Machete. 17 inch overall. 10.88 inch black stonewash finish AUS-8 stainless sawback blade. Green synthetic handle. Full, extended tang. Lanyard hole. Sheath features loop and TekLok connection points. Black ABS belt sheath. Designed by Mike Vellekamp. Boxed.

The Talon karambit's have “Doug Marcaida” written all over them (metaphorically). 5.11 says the blades draw their design from Marcaida’s practice of Filipino Martial Arts of Kali. The duo based the blades on “fast and flowing movements, like that of an Eagle.”
That might sounds like a hokey marketing line, but it’s actually not. Marcaida and 5.11 actually designed the knives to mimic a retractable Eagle’s talon, which allows for a more angled blade for thrusting and slashing. However, it is still slightly curved enough so it does not lose the ability to hook and control in its use. Again, a lot of thought went into the knives.
Rounding out the design is the skeletonized handle with clear scales. Why clear? To blend in with the clothing.

An ideal patrol partner, the Wingman is designed to ride in the the passenger seat with the upper panel fastened around the headrest, serving as an organizer, tool kit, and tactical bag. Featuring dual-fold open web platforms, a foldout organizer panel, adjustable main compartment divider, mesh pockets, and almost limitless storage options, the Wingman Patrol Bag will keep your gear stable, secure, and within easy reach. When it's time to disembark, the bag becomes a traditional patrol bag.
