The durability of this finish is nearly equal the black oxide coating most makers use on clips and handle hardware. After testing it out for a month as an EDC used and abused on boxes and all tasks the clip wore at the edges as did the blade. This is not bullet proof DLC or Titanium Nitride – it’s pure gold fused to the metal with electric current.
