This Harkins Triton 2 has a stainless steel body with 17 bright red rubies inlaid to the 416 Heat Treated Stainless Steel handle and one in the button. The handle itself is multi-faceted and fluted then fastened with gold plated screws. Finally the blade is Mike Norris Intrepid Damascus and has a very unique inside serration that resembles the inside pattern of the old double edged Gillette safety razor blades.

To many who own and collect OTFs, Jeff Harkins is the undisputed king of high end OTF makers. Harkins produces every part of this knife himself in the little shop attached to his residence, for the past 20 years Jeff has made 1000s of unique variants of his famous Triton OTF design and slowly adjusted the internals to arrive at the most flawless and smooth operating OTF made to date WITH ZERO BLADEPLAY.

The Triton is a famous OTF pattern that has cast shadows on many others and continues to impress with so many blade and handle finishes premiered by this maker with a lifetime of work under his hat. It is an honor to see one custom Triton in person and to fire it and understand the history of these knives and to own one is an even more rare opportunity.
