Description

The TEC clip release was developed by Reese many year back and never finished due to less demand for automatics specifically dual actions, this prototype is the first ever built in as many years with a frame lock. The release for this knife is so well hidden and tuned it would fool the most hardened knife enthusiast, don't be fooled this is not like the clip releases you've seen before-no fatigue and misfiring here. Featuring Brad Vice Damascus blade paired with Timascus bolsters and Ivory Micarta scales, the fire switch/pocket clip is solid Mokuti. with a classic file worked backspacer.

Reese Weiland joined the Knifemaker's guild in 1988 and has proceeded to explore all types and styles of knives since then. As part of the original Black Knife project Reese has been making and designing mechanisms and riffing on styles for a long time. His work from the original Microtech Hawk, LCC and Combat Talon project over the years has put him in contact with many makers and styles. Reese still works in the almost baron field of automatic knife makers specializing in dual action mechanisms and OTF's, he still uses manual style mills, no CNC here! These knives are products of hand turned and cranked skill, years of understanding materials and tolerances.
