These TR-5 are mid sized versions of the TR-4 with the auto/manual crossover mechanism that legally classify them as "Power Assisted." These are extra double pleasingly fast and this most likely because of their smaller-than-tr4 size so you'll find them to be faster than most of the automatics you've encountered. A little push up on the thumbstud and this knife rockets into the locked position. The button on the handle unlocks the blade in this Lerch patent mechanized Protech.
